This first week, our class did a
project called Funky Floral Collages.
It is kind of collage that uses coloured paper, coloured tissue paper, printed
design paper and painted watercolour paper to create a vase of flowers on watercolour paper. There are eight steps to do it. At first, we need to prepare
wet-in-wet watercolour paper, and use ink on one side to make colourful flowers.
Then, we should do the same step as the first step for background. Third, we were
going to cut at least four different types of flowers and leaves from
watercolour paper with ink, tissue paper and etc. After that, we could cut
paper to design a vase, and glue the vase on to the light watercolour painted
background. Gluing the flowers was the next step. Last but not least, it is
important and necessary to add highlights with watercolour. There are some pictures to show how we did that!
