Ian Wallace Inspired Painting
This week our art11&12 class started a new interesting project, which was inspired by Ian Wallace paintings. The purpose of this project was helping students become more creative. At the beginning, we painted with different strips of colour on a convas by using acrylic paint. Then, we chose our own satisfied picture and glued it on the canvas. After that, we wrote a short memory of a personal experience about "away from home", and put our sentences on the top of our paintings with colored sharpies. Later, we added 3 more strips of paint, which was a single or double complimentary colour scheme. The more crazy thing was coming! We added drips and splatters on our canvas, and it was the funniest step in our painting process. This project really inspired us to become more creative art students, and we really enjoyed it.
